Rates:
The conference room rate is $169/night. Attendees making reservations by phone should mention that they are attending the EC conference to get the negotiated rate. Reservation cutoff date has been extended to June 15, 2009.
ACM has contracted a block of rooms at the rate of $169/night. During the conference dates, there will be no lower rate available in the hotel including any promotional rates offered by the hotel to the public.
Important Note: ACM SIGecom has a contractual obligation to fill a guaranteed block of rooms at the Sheraton. Significant financial penalties will be assessed should EC 2009 fall short of the expected number of guest rooms committed. By staying at the conference hotel, you will provide valued assistance in support of SIGecom's financial obligations.
On-Campus Student Housing Option:
Attendees also have the option of staying in Stanford University's on-campus graduate student housing. The first option (Rains Apartment with Linen and Cleaning for $68.80 per person per night + $25 application fee) is recommended. You will need to first register for the conference, and then follow the instructions under "Steps for Applying" to make a reservation. You can use your conference registration email as proof of Stanford affiliation.

The conference banquet dinner is on Thursday, July 9th at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, CA. Bus transportation between conference venue and banquet venue will be provided for conference attendees who do not wish to drive their own cars.

Getting to the Conference Venue:
1. Drive and Park:
If you plan to drive to the conference venue, free reserved parking is available at Galvez Field, located across the street from the Alumni Center.

2. Take the Campus Shuttle:
If you are staying at the conference hotel, you can take the free campus shuttle ("Marguerite") from the Palo Alto Transit Center (located behind the Sheraton) to the Alumni Center. The shuttle runs approximately every 15-20 minutes, and the ride itself is about 6 minutes.
